In 2022, Avid switched Pro Tools from a perpetual license to a subscription model. The software and the audio engine were adapted to 64-bit architecture from version 11. The DSP is used to provide additional processing power to the host computer for processing real-time effects, such as reverb, equalization, and compression and to obtain lower latency audio performance. Pro Tools is a digital audio workstation (DAW) developed and released by Avid Technology (formerly Digidesign) for Microsoft Windows and macOS. I'm asking this here because InterLok support requires that I buy an ilok USB and register I think (which I'm not prepared to do when absolutely nothing was mentioned of InterLok when I was buying Pro Tools).Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish There didn't seem to be any other mention of these errors in the forum. The 'Installer' folder doesn't seem to exist. Database: C:\Windows\Installer\e8cfe1.ipi. I've also tried moving the temp file onto Desktop and running the installer from there. I've tried installing with User Account Control turned off but that didn't work. (in \AppData\Local\Temp) Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." But the file definately does exist and I can access it. My problem is that the installer isn't working it says "Error 1305.

I was surprized to then be asked to install 'InterLok device drivers', but anyway I went on and downloaded the installer. The installation froze at one point so I quit and tried again and it seemed to install fully then. I've just bought and downloaded Pro Tools LE 8.
